High Desert Sunburst Roswell Air Races Richardson 173 Trucker Hat captures the high desert sun over the race course on a cap built for long, hot race days.
This official National Championship Air Races cap comes from PilotMall, the official merchandise outlet of the races. The front carries the High Desert Sunburst design on a shield shaped leatherette patch printed in full color: sunburst rays rise behind a checkered pylon circled by racing aircraft, above NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP AIR RACES, ROSWELL, NEW MEXICO and a high wing airplane silhouette against a desert glow.
A Performance Trucker for the High Desert
Wondering how to stay comfortable on a sunny day at the races? Richardson builds the 173 as a performance version of its famous 112 trucker, with a stretch performance polyester front, a Sportmesh back for airflow and a Stay-Dri sweatband that wicks away moisture. The structured six-panel, mid-profile crown and precurved bill keep the classic shape, and an R-Flex adjustable snapback dials in the fit.
Two Colors That Suit the Sunburst
Moss Green/Vivid Orange pairs a moss green front and bill with a bright orange mesh back. Red Mahogany/Medium Grey/Insignia Blue sets the patch on a deep red front, with a grey mesh back and an Insignia Blue bill. Both make a memorable gift for the race fan who loves the desert.
