VS-32, now a decommissioned Sea Control Squadron, served proudly throughout the world. First flying in Grumman TBF Avengers, then transitioning to Grumman S-2 Trackers, and later to Lockheed S-3 Vikings, their primary objective was anti-submarine warfare. They were the first S-3 Squadron to sink an enemy ship, which belonged to the Iraqi Navy.
The squadron patch is represented by a skull wearing an aviator's helmet and goggles, chomping down on an exploding enemy submarine.
