The storied 375th Bombardment Squadron, the “Death Dealers,” displayed conspicuous bravery in one of the toughest theaters of the Second World War—the China, Burma, and India theater. Fighting off hordes of marauding Japanese fighters to deliver their payload of bombs, the 375th also had to contend with the varied and dangerous weather phenomena experienced by pilots flying the notorious “Hump” in the Himalayas: Blistering heat, monsoon rains, powerful winds, and bone-rattling turbulence. The 375th completed missions far and wide, delivering ordinance not only over South and Southeast Asia but the Western Pacific and New Guinea as well. Flying the famed Consolidated B-24 Liberator, the 375th Bombardment Squadron earned two Distinguished Unit Citations.
The front of this t-shirt features the AAC logo in black and chrome. On the back, the terror-inducing emblem of the 375th Bombardment Squadron is placed over an engineering drawing of their B-24. The emblem portrays the Grim Reaper himself, clad in a flying helmet, earphones, and goggles, holding an implement of destruction in each of his bony hands. Staring through black, dead eyes, the Reaper seems to be offering his enemies a choice: the bomb or the scythe.
