Serving as an exceptional training group, the pilots of the 96th Fighter Squadron passed down their hard-won, hard-earned, hard-fought knowledge, wisdom, and experience to the rising generation of pilots coming up behind them.
Pilots often thank their teachers and instructors, because it was their training that let them clash with the adversaries, then live to fight another day.
As time passed in the years during WWII, the 96th Squadron served as protective fighter escorts, so our bombers and other air assets could safely come through and do the dangerous deeds that needed to be done upon the enemy.
With a belligerent, tenacious, pugnacious attitude, a nimble jackrabbit with white knockout fighting gloves leaps into the air, right paw cocked back and ready to be heaved upon the enemy combatants with a fury our enemies have never known.
See how the ears are slung back, sleek, nice and low, to streamline itself for maximum destructive efficiency. The snarl with a grimace, exposing the teeth, is more than enough menace to bring the attackers down to the canvas, knocked out cold and permanently down for the count.
